Lin Yan Jun's Baptism

Hey Family,

It's been awhile since I sent pictures like these, but here they are. This is Lin Yan Jun's baptism. She looked especially beautiful that day... can't say the same for myself (it was hot and we'd been biking around all day. Her sister came to her baptism. The service was really nice, and two other brothers got baptized as well. Quite few members came so that was great. There's always the "gotta love taiwan" moments... like when Brother Xu was giving his talk before the baptism, and his son was crawling around on the podium trying to play with the microphone, and the dad just keep talking and acting like nothing wierd was happening. He's a good member though and his talk was pretty good all considered.

Yesterday was busy, we had a investigator who was supposed to do her 2nd interview friday cancel that appointment and so she can't get baptized for at least another week. In this mission if someone is supposed to get baptized in the next few weeks, and doesn't pull through to hit that goal it's a big deal. Yeah, it happens fairly often, but our leaders do all they can to make sure it only happens after we've done all we can do. We have a few investigators that we love meeting with... Katie and Li Yi Ling. Yi Ling has just got to quit smoking. She has amazing member support and a good desire. Last night we had long lesson with Katie's mom, but she wouldn't agree to let her get baptized yet :( there's still the miracles in the making. We might go see Wang Yi in Xinzhu in a few minutes. She's my new member from Nantou. I love her.

I can call my new members this move call so that's been fun getting touch with them. I have one new member from the first of mission that's still active-- xiao ting. She got baptized my first move call and now she's been a member for a year. That's sweet. Well, yep, the time is winding down, but you've still got two more wonderful opportunities to email me. Then the chance will pass you by. You'll have to email other missionaries. No regrets right? Eat lots of good ice cream and cake for me.

Love, Sister Browning
